Job Summary and Responsibilities
Assisted Living Opportunities-Dedham
The Assisted Living department is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to assist residents in Activities of Daily Living. This includes, but is not limited to, toileting, bathing, dressing, taking vital signs and assessing residents need for additional medical attention. Certified Nursing Assistants will also provide residents with reminders and cueing to take medications, under the careful supervision of the Nursing Coordinator. Certified Nursing Assistants will also participate in the recreation program, under the supervision of the Program Manager.
Health Care Center Opportunities-Dedham
The Long Term Care and Recuperative Service Units located in the Health Care Center at NewBridge on the Charles are seeking Certified Nursing Assistant s is to protect, sustain, and nurture the residents that live at NBOC. They provide assistance with activities of daily living, care of the resident s environment, and meet other needs as required. The goal of the work of the nursing assistant is to provide assistance that promotes a high quality of life for the residents. The nursing assistant works as a member of a team that seeks to achieve a home like setting while maintaining excellence in all areas of care.
In addition, the CNA will demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and mission of Hebrew SeniorLife and recognize resident s dignity and choice in all aspects of daily life. They are an active participant in the activities, work, and social environment of the households, and strive to make every resident encounter into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while ensuring the provision of safe and efficient quality care.
Qualifications
-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
-A minimum of 2 yrs. direct service experience with the elderly.
-Knowledge of, and/or, 1 yr. of experience working with people with Alzheimer s disease and/or related disorders
-sensitivity to issues of aging
-Ability to be flexible with scheduling and work assignments, as well as the ability to work as a team
Health Care Center Qualifications:
-Certified Nursing Assistant required
-Fluent English skills required
-Computer literacy required
-Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor, excellent oral and written communication skills, good intuition and able to adapt to changing priorities and display good, sound judgment with a sense of humor.
-Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change
Additional Qualifications for Recuperative Service Unit
-2+ years experience in a Rehabilitation or Hospital Medical/Surgery Recovery Floor, or similar experience in sub-acute setting
Hours Available- Currently there are various part time day, evening, night and weekend positions ranging from 16-32 hours available on Assisted Living, Long Term Care and Rehabilitation units. When applying, please specify which department, shift, and hours interest you.
