Human Resources Specialist
Acadian Asset Management LLC is a Boston-headquartered investment management firm with wholly owned affiliates located in Singapore and London. As of June 30, 2011, the firm managed approximately US$51 billion on behalf of major pension funds, endowments, foundations, governments and other investors based in the U.S. and abroad.
Position Overview:
We are actively seeking to hire a Human Resource Specialist to join the HR Department responsible for providing HR support to the organization. This individual plays a key role ensuring that HR resources, projects and activities are delivered and managed successfully to meet staff and business needs.
Responsibilities
I. Recruiting:
* Manage recruiting activities for the firm which includes: Partnering with hiring managers on strategy and candidate selection.
* Manage online postings of all jobs; maintain relationships with recruiting agencies, job sites and any career fairs or employment events.
* Evaluate talent including prescreening candidates.
* Develop and negotiate offer recommendations utilizing competitive market data.
* Act as primary point of contact for candidates, building strong relationships to ensure a positive candidate experience and successful completion of the search.
* Check references for selected candidates.
* Track and maintain candidates status database for all open positions.
* Prepare and update job descriptions.
* Analyze employment practices (e.g., turnover, on boarding, engagement, etc.) prepare trend reports; analyze and develop recommendations.
II. HR Analytics:
* Work closely with HR Director to support compensation planning process by reviewing survey and market data to analyze benchmarking and competitive pay trends.
* Facilitate headcount and attrition analyses and metrics.
III. Support employees and managers on employee relations' matters
IV. Participate in and support HR initiatives such as new software implementations to ensure project success and that business requirements are met and tracked.
V. Support human resource processes and procedures to ensure accurate, timely and consistent delivery to all staff.
VI. Identify process improvement possibilities and participate in improvement efforts.
VII. Foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration with other HR staff in promoting best practices.
VIII. Support other projects as requested and undertake special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 -7 years of experience in HR related role(s). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Experience with compensation planning and reporting a plus. Must possess strong communication skills, written and verbal. Must be well organized, flexible and comfortable dealing with confidential information. Must be able to work independently with initiative as well as in group environment. Candidate must be upbeat, mature, professional, a quick learner, able to multi-task and be comfortable dealing with all levels of management.
