DLA Piper, a leader in the practice of law worldwide, seeks a Legal Secretary with experience in Real Estate, Government Affairs, and Finance. In a team environment, this position performs a broad range of administrative and secretarial duties, including the following:
- Heavy client contact.
- Review and process monthly bills and coordinate with attorneys and accounting department to send to clients.
- Under attorney supervision, creates, transcribes, revises, proofreads and maintains a variety of transactional documents.
- Maintains calendars and other time tables including scheduling/coordinating meetings and making travel arrangements.
- Manages lawyers daily time entry.
- Maintain client files in both paper and electronic formats.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- At least five years experience as a legal secretary with real estate, government affairs, and finance experience required.
- Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to readily adjust to changes in firm software and technologies. Must possess excellent grammar and proofreading skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently required. Required to type 70 wpm. High School Diploma required. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high pressured environment. Must be effective in understanding and resolving difficult issues.
