Job: NURSING ASSISTANT II PER DIEM

Jobing Description

Whidden Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a busy community hospital, offering inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital operates 112-beds and provides intensive care, telemetry, mental health, and medical-surgical services. WMH has a three (3) room OR and one (1) endoscopy room. A 24-hour emergency service is also on site. Outpatient care at this campus includes surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, specialty care, primary care, and mental health programs.

Each candidate must exhibit excellent customer relations skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. Must understand and integrate into the delivery of patient care the needs of specific ages in regard to their growth and development. Must organize daily work, prioritize, and make decisions concerning care to meet the needs of individual and groups of patients. Must adhere to and administer treatment according to Cambridge Health Alliance's policies and procedures

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to ability to work in a fast paced Emergency Department, answer phones,perform order entry, Phlebotomy (required to perform), Point of care Testing, working under the direction of a registered Nurse.

One year Emergency Room Experience required
Current Basic Life Support per American Heart Association Guidelines
One year Phlebotomy required
Must have certification as a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT
Nursing Students will be considered if completed one full clinical rotation
