Jobing Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY AND MATERIALS SCIENCE/NANOTECHNOLOGY, Research Laboratory of Electronics, to join the Synthetic Biology Group in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The position will focus on engineering novel interactions between synthetic cells, materials, and nanoparticles. Will work closely with Professor Timothy Lu and members of the Lu Laboratory. Researchers will also be integrated into the recently established and vibrant Synthetic Biology Center at MIT, which includes an interdisciplinary set of scientists and engineers focused on synthetic biology as an emerging engineering discipline.

REQUIREMENTS: extensive experience in materials science and nanotechnology. Additional research experience involving one or more of the following areas/technologies is also desirable: molecular biology, synthetic biology, and high-throughput and/or robotic approaches to molecular biology.
