Jobing Description
Scope of Responsibilities
* Responsible for the development, execution and deployment of sourcing strategies for all logistics requirements including: small parcel, domestic heavy air, global freight forwarding, truckload and less than truckload logistics/transportation-related services
* Responsible for freight spend optimization through leveraging data analytics
* Responsible to drive key performance measurement system (metrics) and continuous improvement throughout Raytheon's logistics service provider supply base
* Responsible to ensure logistics service provider supply base capabilities are aligned with Raytheon international growth strategy including driving synergy opportunities with Raytheon Export / Import Operations
* Responsible for all aspects of Raytheon's transportation management system including; driving implementation and continuous system development; enterprise-wide implementation including Raytheon and supplier tool adoption and development of TMS driven metrics focused on utilization and logistics spend optimization
* Responsible to drive development and adoption of enterprise-wide logistics tools, including: Transportation Management, Freight Payment, Metrics Dashboards, Material Tracking, and Warehouse Management
* Collaborates with every level of management as necessary to execute objectives
Job Duties
* Responsible to identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with strategic partners in alignment with Raytheon's enterprise logistics strategy
* Responsible for the bidding and negotiation of logistics contractual agreements with Raytheon's global integrated logistics providers
* Manages high priority, high impact projects using Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) methodologies, in coordination with Raytheon Integrated Logistics Community of Practice (RILCOM) and other company people resources
* Actively manages enterprise-wide integrated logistics shared service operations, such as enterprise third party freight payment system
* Responsible for writing, executing and management of integrated logistics Corporate Wide Agreements
* Actively supports Raytheon's employee and supplier diversity objectives
* Collaborates with other Raytheon Business Supply Chain leaders and other Raytheon leaders to execute integrated logistics initiatives
* Fosters a highly collaborative environment in driving implementation of continuous improvement projects, best practices replication, standardization/communization initiatives, and development of processes and tools with Raytheon Supply Chain Technology & Solutions
* Assists in coordinating and facilitating RILCOM meetings and events.
* Supports communications processes for RILCOM, including: managing Enterprise Logistics eRoom and Docushare, maintaining Enterprise Logistics oneRTN page, and contributing to Logistics and Supply Chain RSpace communities.
Job Requirements
Required Skills
* 8+ years of logistics/transportation purchasing and/or management experience
* Strong, working knowledge operations background (Logistics provider selection and management, carrier contract statement of work development, contract bidding, and warehouse management services)
* Excellent negotiation and carrier management skills
* Strong, working knowledge and experience in carrier operations, carrier performance management, freight payment, premium/expedited freight, and import/export logistics
* Establish relationships and contacts with leading suppliers of integrated logistics solutions
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities
* Excellent oral and written communications skills
* Excellent strategic planning skills
* Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management
* Import / Export operations experience
Educational Requirements
* Minimum: Bachelors Degree (Specializing in Supply Chain or Logistics)
* Preferred: M.B.A.
